The places I've been

Looking back I know things aren't

The same

The way I was then

To the person I am today

All my strengths and the hardships I face

To the struggles of now

The places of today

Where I stand

How I seize the day

The timid girl I used to be

Has taken some time to fade away

And the shadows of my yesterday

To the friends I had

To the places I stayed

Only brought me here

To this very day

The things I miss

They went away

Change is ever coming

So I hope I'm here to stay
